PopulationThe majority of Tokyos population are Japanese. According to CIA World Fact Book, only 1.5% fall into the "other" category. Tokyo's share of the national population rose from about 3 percent in 1900 to over 10 per cent by 1960. The land of Japan has ben urbanizing, very much like other countries. However, in the 1990's the population of Tokyo began to stabilize and even decline, while the percentage of native-born Tokyo residents rose steadily.

Tokyo is a very uniform, both socially and culturally. It is a very clean place, and very organized as well. The people are kind and the service is great. The majority of the people follow Japanese cultural and traditions. The people in Japan can take a small warehouse and make it into a beautiful restaurant with great cuisine. Just stop in anywhere and let yourself be pleasantly surprised. This is a graph that shows how much Tokyo's population has risen since 1950.
